ABC-Ri announces the 4th edition of the Mariano Gago Memorial Lecture

The Algarve Biomedical Center Research Institute (ABC-Ri) is pleased to announce the 4th edition of the Mariano Gago Memorial Lecture, a prestigious event dedicated to celebrating excellence in biomedical research.

This year, we are honored to welcome Professor Wolf Reik as our distinguished speaker. Professor Reik is an Honorary Professor of Epigenetics at the University of Cambridge, an Associate Member of the Sanger Institute, and a founding member of the Single Cell Genomics Centre. He is also affiliated with the Stem Cell Institute and the Trophoblast Research Centre.

Professor Reik’s research focuses on epigenetic reprogramming during mammalian development and its role in stem cell biology, inheritance, and aging. His contributions include pioneering new technologies for studying the epigenome, particularly in single-cell analysis.
