ABC Research Institute Hosts International Forum on Cardiovascular Research

Algarve Biomedical Center – Research Institute (ABC-RI) is proud to announce that on  November 12th, 2024, we will host the latest edition of our International Forum, featuring leading experts in cardiovascular research. The event will take place online, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM (Lisbon Time), under the theme: “At the Heart of the Matter: Advances in Cardiovascular Research.”

This session will highlight groundbreaking developments in cardiovascular science, bringing together renowned international and national speakers. The keynote speaker for this edition is Daniël Pijnappels, a distinguished researcher from Leiden University, Netherlands, known for his innovative work in the field of cardiac electrophysiology and tissue engineering.

Other confirmed speakers include:

  • José Bragança, from the Algarve Biomedical Research Institute (ABC-RI), Faro, Portugal.
  • Adelino Leite-Moreira, from the University of Porto, Portugal.

With cardiovascular diseases being a leading cause of mortality worldwide, the forum aims to foster dialogue on the latest advancements in prevention, treatment, and understanding of heart-related conditions. Attendees will have the chance to engage with pioneering research that may influence future medical practices and health policies.
