Ana Marreiros, professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University of Algarve, and researcher at the Algarve Biomedical Center Research Institute (ABC-RI), is one of the winners of the Dr. Rui Antão, promoted by the HPA Saúde group.
The annual award aims to stimulate the development of promoting and relevant actions that allow the progress and dynamization of the specialty.
According to Hospital Particular do Algarve, and “taking into account that there are in organizations a set of non-productive activities that, not having, immediately, a measurable economic result, come later to prove to be of paramount importance for the differentiation organizations”, the group distinguishes the researcher and professor at the University of Algarve for her differentiating work in the research carried out in the area of knee and hip arthroplasties.
Ana Marreiros has worked with cutting-edge technology, together with orthopedists and physiotherapists, promoting, over the years, a fruitful dialogue between research and clinic, which has allowed this area of research and intervention to be leveraged in the Algarve.
A number of important scientific articles have been published, in impact publications, which contribute to a better understanding of the related problem.
