Two ABC-RI Researchers Selected for EACR Women in Leadership Workshop

The European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) has recently hosted its inaugural Women in Leadership Workshop, an event dedicated to enhancing leadership skills among women in science. This landmark event took place in Rotterdam, Netherlands, just ahead of the EACR 2024 Congress.

Among the select group of 25 women chosen for this prestigious workshop are Bibiana Ferreira and Mónica Fernandes, researchers at ABC-RI. Both Bibiana Ferreira and Mónica Fernandes are in their first independent positions as Principal Investigators (PIs), making their selection a significant milestone in their professional careers.

The Women in Leadership Workshop aimed to provide these emerging leaders with essential skills and networking opportunities to navigate and excel in their roles. The EACR’s initiative underscores the importance of supporting women in science, ensuring they have the tools and confidence needed to lead and innovate in the field of cancer research.
