A team of Portuguese researchers, which includes scientists from the University of Porto, Inês Araújo, researcher and deputy director of the Algarve Biomedical Center Research Institute, of the University of Algarve, and Gustavo Tiscornia, researcher at the Center for Marine Sciences (CCMAR), published in the journal Developmental Cell an article that reveals the molecular mechanisms that allow the Acomys cahirinus spiny mouse to regenerate the spinal cord after injury.
