About the Lab

Our lab aims to understand how neuroinflammation and nitrosative stress contribute to neurodegeneration and brain repair, with a particular focus on the participation of gasotransmitters like nitric oxide (NO) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in signaling mechanisms that affect neuronal viability and the ability to produce new neurons. Our goal is to identify new targets to enhance neurogenesis and brain repair after injury or disease.
